A school that teaches from the industry
SET School of Entertainment & Technology is built on a German, semi-virtual learning concept. Its purpose is to make the theoretical and technical groundwork of entertainment technology reachable for people who study alongside work or family.

SET is an interactive distance-learning system completed by practical sessions. The underlying idea is simple: the internet is excellent at carrying material, feedback and conversation anywhere — but it does not replace standing in front of a microphone, hearing what a room does, or making decisions at the desk.
So the two phases are not alternatives to each other. In the online phase you understand why something works; on the practical weekend you experience how.
We recommend our courses to people who want to know the current theoretical and technical groundwork of their field, and who are ready to try what they have learned in practice.
What we are trying to do
To make the professional foundations of sound, music and image learnable by people who cannot move city or stop working.
- 01
Reachable training
The material is available online, so where you live does not decide whether you can study.
- 02
Built on practice
On the in-person weekends you work with real equipment — that is the core of the course, not an extra.
- 03
Professionally credible
We work with teachers who are still active in the industry and who bring examples from their own work.
How we teach
A clear structure
The material is broken into modules, each of which stands as a unit you can make sense of on its own.
Learning by doing
Every topic has an exercise attached. Feedback comes on your work, not just on your answers.
Critical listening
We teach you how to listen back to your own decisions, and when it is worth changing them.
Small groups
A maximum of 12 participants, and smaller sub-groups for practical work, so there is time for everyone.
What we stand for
- 01
We promise what we can keep
We do not claim anything about the course that cannot be supported. If a detail is still being confirmed, we say so.
- 02
Specialist, not intimidating
We teach the language of the profession, but we do not use it to put off someone who is starting out.
- 03
Professional contacts
The groups and the weekends build contacts too — in this industry that has value in itself.
A view beyond the border
The concept was not developed in Hungary, and that is an advantage: the material follows international practice. Where there is interest we arrange a study trip or studio visit.
